Video Marketing Tips From Video Marketing Guru Mark HarbertI wanted to share 3 Video Marketing Tips that I got from a webinar that video marketing guru Mark Harbert shared the other day.

If you don't know Mark Harbert then you are missing out.  His training on video marketing is nothing short of amazing

If you take the time to implement these 3 simple video marketing tips you will be amazed how this will change your video marketing significantly.

Video Marketing Tips – 3 Easy Tips

When I started doing videos I really had no clue.  I sat in front of my iPhone and started talking and then published to youtube and hoped for the best.

Here are 3 things that helped immensely.

1.     Stay away from scripting videos as the primary source for doing your video.

This is one that I started out trying.  Writing my script down in my notes on my laptop and then putting it on the screen and reading them like a teleprompter.

Not a Good Thing!

People need to know that you are real and vulnerable.  The more they can relate to you the better.

As soon as I changed how I was doing this part things changed.

People started watching more and staying longer.  I became a real person to them instead of a scripted talking manakin.

Be you and people will want to watch you and relate to you.  Are you going to make mistakes, of course, you will that's the great part everyone does.

That's what makes it real and will help your video marketing go viral much easier.

2.     Stress a certain point or topic that benefits the people that follow you, your niche market and their challenges.

Make sure you are hitting the points that address the pain of your niche.  If you are just babbling on and on about nothing that is going to help your niche they won't watch.

Not saying that once in awhile a fun video isn't something that helps brand you more and helps with making you more real.

But a majority of your videos should be addressing some pain or challenge that you can help your particular niche with.

This is what is going to establish you as the go-to guy or gal.

You want to become a problem solver.

People are searching for answers to challenges they are having and want to get them from YOU!

3.    Call To Action – that is congruent….

Here's the one thing that most people just forget!

When I'm talking about a call to action I don't mean to ask people to share and like.

I'm talking about a real call to action that get's you a LEAD!

Inviting them to join your newsletter, or offering them a FREE something by just entering their name and email.

These are the call to actions and if acted on will get you a lead.  The others are great and should be said but you don't get leads from them.

Probably the most important of these Video Marketing Tips is this one.  Without a call to action, all you have is a nice video.

Blog Marketing 3 Easy Tips To Build Your MLM BusinessBlog Marketing, in my opinion, is the most effective and long-term marketing method out there.

Nothing will give you what you need for your MLM Business like Blogging.

I was on a webinar the other day with my mentor and coach Ray Higdon doing training on 10 marketing tips.

These are the three that stood out for me when using blogging as your marketing platform and method.

When it comes to blogging I can't think of anyone that knows better than Ray.  He gets thousands of leads daily and makes 7 figures from his blog, I would call that an expert!

Blog Marketing Tips To Build Your MLM Business – The Basics

If you understand that the sole purpose of your blog is to generate leads then it becomes less difficult to put together a plan.

You need to be consistent and congruent with your message and your giveaways.

3 Easy Blog Marketing Tips To Build Your MLM Business

1.     Focus on Lead generation and Connecting with those leads

As we stated above the primary purpose of your blog is to generate leads!

There is always the debate of pretty vs value and to me giving consistent value is much more important.

That said there is NO reason why you can't have both.

Once you get a lead your next step is to start building that connection and relationship with them.  Remember that nothing is more important your list and building that list.

2.    You Don't Need to Blog about Network Marketing, Blog about YOUR Passion

I currently blog about getting leads and recruiting more reps, but you don't have to do the same.

What you should be doing is blogging about your passion and what you KNOW!

If you are in health and wellness you might be blogging about, how to lose weight, what are the right foods to eat and so on.

The key is to always be adding value and to be congruent with your niche and everything else you are doing.

3.    Not Sure What To Talk About, ILT

This is the question I get most often.  Where do I find things to blog about.

First off if you are passionate about something you probably have books, magazines, the internet, webinars and ebooks that you can draw from.

I love the concept of ILT, Invest, Learn and Teach.

Basically, the method is to invest in your learning, learn it and take action and then teach to others.  How do you teach others?

My preferred method is blogging, but you can use any or all of the other methods like video, social media, and others.

Again Ray Higdon (3 Minute Expert) has a great course that goes through this and much much more.

You would be surprised at how many people do the first two part of ILT and just need to add the teaching part.

Blog Marketing is something that can and will change how you build your business.

MLM Training How To Invite And Set Up A PresentationMLM Training is something we should all be involved in at every step of our Network Marketing Career.

Learning how to be effective with your inviting is critical to building your business.

I believe this is becoming a lost art because of the internet and social media, not that these are bad things if done correctly.

The principles that I will talk about here will work online and offline. The first thing you need to learn is the fundamentals of inviting. Remember you are Inviting not presenting!

I believe that these two things are at the top of your list of MLM Training skills and should be mastered as quickly as possible.

MLM Training: How To Invite

1.     First Rule is to be yourself

So many people think that once they get into a home business that they have to become this starchy business person that nobody likes.

Remember people ultimately do business with those they Know LIKE and Trust.

The last thing you want to do is make them feel uncomfortable

2.     Second Rule is to be Brief!

MLM TrainingYou want to establish a sense of urgency.  I love what Ray Higdon teaches about using the BIC which is Break In Communication.

 If you start with statements like, “I don't have time right now to explain things…” or “I'm heading into another meeting right now, but…

Remember you are not telling we are showing.  You should be dropping seeds all along this process so that when you finally make the statement “It sounds like you are ready to get started” the answer has already been set in their minds, YES!

3.     Third Rule –  Make your invitation personal and find a focused time when they can see the full presentation.

Never spam your company link all over Facebook or any other Social Media Platform, it just doesn't work!

You can't track that and you will never know who has watched your presentation.

Build a relationship with people you meet and then invite them to see your presentation the right way.

4.     Fourth Rule – Invite With a Purpose!

Be excited and throw your fears aside.  A simple invitation has the power to dramatically enhance their life if they choose to participate, as either a customer, a Rep, or both.

If you are excited about what you have to offer so will they.

MLM Training: The 3 Step Setup Prior to The Presentation

1.     Why

This is where you tell the prospect what your why is.  The key to this is to be as vulnerable as possible.

You need to talk from the heart and be as open as possible.

Example:

“Hey, John I love getting together today with you. Hey listen I’ve got something very important to share with you today.

Listen we’ve been friends for a long time and I’m sure from the outside it looks like things are going great.  Friend to friend I’ve got to be real with you right now, I am dying right now.

My family is taking a hit and I just don’t have time or money to do anything.

John, let me tell you we’ve been praying and praying for something and God just drop this deal right in our laps.”

This is one example of a why.  Your why is going to be different, but it needs to be vulnerable.

I’m a person of Faith so I would use that last line.  If you are not or don’t feel comfortable with that then say something like this, “I’ve been searching and searching for something and I just found it.”

2.     Big Deal, All In

This where we are going to tell them that this thing that we have found is a very big deal.

Example:

“John, this thing that I have found is a really huge deal, it just amazing.  

I’ve met some of the top people and they are doing some amazing things.  

I’ve done all of the research on this thing, I’ve looked top to bottom and I’m just telling you this is the next big deal, this is a phenomenon and I’m putting my chips all the way in.  

This is my ticket, this is my shot.” 

That is an example of your Big Deal, All In step.  Here are the key phrases.

•   “this thing is a big deal”
•   “I have met some of the top people”
•   “I’ve done all the research”
•   “I’ve decided to put my chips all the way in”

3.     Don’t Care

Here’s where you are going to, politely, tell them that we don’t care what they think.

You are not going to actually say the words “I don’t care.”

Example:

“Now, John, I don’t know how this is going to strike you, you may love it, you may not get it right away and you know what it doesn’t matter to me either way, we’re friends and we’re always going to be friends.

All I know is this, I’m going to put this in front of thousands of people and because we are such good friends I wanted to give you the opportunity to be one of the first, is that cool.”

You will always want to end with the phrase “is that cool” because what are they going to say?  Of course, that’s cool.

3 Ways to Use A Blog To Build And Train Your Network Marketing Team

We all want better ways to build and train our Network Marketing Teams.  Today I want to share my way of doing just that.

I personally love blogging to get my message out about Network Marketing.  Using my blog to not only attract new people to my Network Marketing Team but also to Train my existing Team really works.

The great value of having a blog to build and train with is that it's a reusable resource.  It will help you leverage your time and wisdom with your team.

Wouldn't it be great if everytime someone on your team had a question all you had to do was point them to a blog post or video that answered everything they needed.

Wouldn't it be much more duplicatable to teach your team to do the same and point their new teammates to these reusable resources instead of everyone trying to be the go-to person.

Today I just want to share with you 3 reasons why I believe using a Blog to build and train your Network Marketing Team is a great idea.

3 Ways to Use A Blog To Build And Train Your Network Marketing Team

1.  Communication with Prospects

This is how I communication with prospects who are interested in knowing what I do and what Network Marketing is all about.

People are being barraged on the internet every day with how bad MLM is and how it's all a big SCAM and I love that I can be one person that gives out the true story about Network Marketing

Being able to send prospects to my blog and specifically a post that answers their questions does 2 things.

FIRST – It answers their question with the proper perspective when it comes to Network Marketing.

SECOND – It sets me up as an expert and someone that is giving them some value.  Remember that people do business with those they know, like, and trust.

The other thing that having a blog does is allow you to communicate with everyone on the same level.  Understand that some prospects are going to need more answer and you will have to actually talk to them, but having a way to set the standards up in one place for all to see is a big plus.

I can tell you whenever I have a prospect that has a question or objection about Network Marketing one of the first things I will do is ask them to read a post that I have on that subject.

I almost always get a great response back when I follow up because they feel like they understand it better and they are working with someone who is an expert.

2.  Communication With Your Team

 Can you imagine how big a team you would have if you had to spend every day all day answering questions and helping everyone on your team?

You certainly wouldn't have much time to build and help new people on the team.

Having Reusable Resources, in my opinion, is a MUST!

If you really want to build a huge team and legacy you CAN NOT spend your time being the “Shell Answer Man” for the team.

You have to learn to point people to these Reusable Resources and then teach your team to do the same so they can grow.

I can't tell you how my Blog has helped me with this.  I have done a number of training videos and then posted them in a training area on my Blog and that's where I send people on the Team.

Using your blog as a repository of training videos, audio, and articles are just great ways to leverage your time and knowledge and train your team.

I know that your company is going to have a lot of information and training that can be used also but having something especially for YOUR team, again sets you up as an expert on your team.

3.  Sets You Up As The Expert To Prospects And Team

How would you feel if people were reaching out to you on a regular basis because they saw you as the expert in the Network Marketing Profession?

Wouldn't it feel great to not have to chase down your friends and family because of how they perceived you in your profession.

I can tell you from experience that I have people reaching out to me every day wanting to get to know me and find out what I do and it's not because I'm a handsome devil.

Because of my Blog, they have seen me out on the Internet and have seen me as someone with authority when it comes to the Network Marketing Profession.

It turns you into the Hunted instead of the Hunter which is exactly where you want and should be.

The second thing it will do for you is to help your team see you as a leader in our profession.  When they see that you are all over the Internet and Social Media giving out great value they will not hesitate to turn to their leader for the leadership they need.

I can tell from my experience that having an upline who understands how to leverage his time and knowledge is worth its weight in gold.

My current upline is a master at that and it has helped our team grow and become a better community and that's what it's all about.

Your Blog becomes the go-to spot for your team and your prospects which will free you up to do the things that will build and reinforce your community, building relationships!

So the next time you sit down to think about should I have a blog or if you already have a blog how can I use it to build and train my Network Marketing team I hope you will refer back to this post.

Without my Blog, I would be spending a whole lot of time and energy doing things to build and train my team that are just not duplicatable.

You want your team to feel like, “I can do that” when it comes to training their team.  I mean how hard is it to just point someone to a Reusable Resource and then train your team to do the same.

Goal Tracking To Your MLM Success

MLM Success: Goal Tracking With This App

Achieving our goals takes more than good intentions. You have to take action and then systematically begin Goal Tracking.

There are numerous apps designed for just this purpose, but which one is right for you.

I found one recently that I just fell in love with and wanted to share it with you.

Goal Tracking is one of those things that we know we need to do but just never seem to get around to it.

It's either too difficult to track or it just takes too much of our time.

Recently, I went on a search to find an app for my own use. I want to share with you what I found. But, before I do, let me define how I use the various goal-setting terms. Different people use these terms in different ways.

  • Goal: “Something you are trying to achieve.” I sometimes use objective, target, or even project as a synonym.
  • Milestone: “A significant marker that indicates progress toward a goal.” I sometimes use subgoal as a synonym.
  • Habit: “Something a person does often in the same way.” Habits are not usually an end in themselves; they are a way to achieve a goal. I often use rituals, disciplines, or practices as synonyms.
  • Tasks: “Actions a person takes that move them toward a goal or milestone.” I often use actions or to-dos as synonyms.

Some applications track all of these items. Most only track a subset. Regardless, there are hundreds of apps for helping you achieve what matters most to you.

After searching around, I found a number of apps that are good and one that I fell in love with and have started using.

MLM Success: Goal Tracking – The List of 7

Here is a list of 7 that I found that are being used for Goal setting and tracking.  There are literally hundreds out there so the one you might find the best may not be on my list.

  1.   Nozbe – This is more of a project manager but is very popular.
  2.   GoalsOnTrackThis is the most robust true goal setting and tracking package and the one I chose.
  3.   LifeTick – This app is based on defining your core values.  Then you define your goals and tasks.
  4.   Strides – This app is beautiful with graphs and a great dashboard, but it lacks in the goal planning area.
  5.   Coach.me – is the granddaddy of habit-tracking programs.  Heavy on feedback and encouragement.
  6.   Habit List – This is useful if all you want to do is track habits and don't care much about goals.
  7.   irunurun – This the easiest and the most intuitive of all the habit-trackers if that is what you are looking for.

MLM Success: Goal Tracking – GoalsOnTrack

Out of the above 7, I chose GoalsOnTrack because it seemed to be the best suited for what I wanted to do which was set and track my goals.

I could go on about how I think this is a great app and I'm not a part of any affiliate program with them but I thought showing you their promotion video would be a great way to spotlight what this app and web-based goal tracking and setting program does.
