Brand Consistency Is The Secret For Online MarketersBrand Consistency is by far one of the most important things when it comes to marketing online.  Understanding what your brand is and who your target market is, is critical.

One of the best courses that I have ever taken when it comes to being an expert and branding yourself is Ray Higdon's 3 Minute Expert.

I would highly recommend this course if you are seriously considering marketing online and branding yourself.

When I talk about branding for the home business entrepreneur, I'm talking about personal branding.

Not going out and developing a company name, logo, stationary, etc.

The BEST Brand you have is looking back at you in the mirror every day!

Brand Consistency Is The Secret For Online Marketers

One of the things I learned a year ago that changed everything for me was to stop marketing my business and start branding ME.

Create a YOU, Inc. that becomes recognizable by everyone.

The mistake most newbies make it spend all of their time marketing their company and their home business instead of themselves.

What that accomplishes the branding for the company and not them.

Then something happens that they have to leave that company, and everyone wonders what they are doing now.

If on the other hand if they had branded themselves and understood brand consistency things would have been significantly different.

So the first thing you need to understand is your Brand, YOU!

The second thing you have to understand is your Target Market.

Once you have this down you can then begin the brand consistency journey.

Brand Consistency Is The Secret For Online Marketers

Whatever method you choose to market your brand the key is consistency.

You may choose to use Social Media.

You may choose to use blogging.

You may choose to use video.

It doesn't matter as long as you are CONSISTENT!

I can tell from personal experience that people now know ME and really aren't concerned what business I'm with.

Because I'm consistent with my content and value they just want to know about me first.

Understanding The Webinar Marketing ProcessYesterday we talked about Webinar Tools, so the next step is understanding the Webinar Marketing Process.  Having the process down is critical.

I want to encourage you, if you are serious about doing webinars, you need to get Steve Jaffe's Webinar Sales Magic Course.

You wouldn't want to be a professional photographer or doctor without going to school or taking some courses, would you?

Then don't make that mistake when it comes to doing your webinar marketing process.

Understanding The Webinar Marketing Process

Once you have your tools together, the webinar marketing process begins.

1.   Your Registration Page

The registration page is the first step in the process, putting your registration page together.

Without a captivating and magnetic registration page, no one is going to register for your webinar.

For me, I use a program called ClickFunnels and the Perfect Webinar Wizard that Russel Brunson developed.

I love using his Funnel Scripts program also.

All of these programs will help you put together the perfect webinar funnel.

2.    Pre-Webinar Follow-up and Preparation

Follow-up is the next step in the Webinar Marketing Process that is critical.

You need to have a set of follow-up emails going out to those that have registered for the webinar.

The fortune is in the follow-up as we all know.

The follow-up not only applies to those who have registered but those who have not.

The preparation that you need to accomplish is making sure you are comfortable with your software and the presentation.

The more practice you do, the more comfortable you will feel.  No matter what you do, the first one is always scaring even for the most seasoned of us.

 3.   Post Webinar Marketing Process

So now your webinar is complete, what's next?

Now you need to stay in touch with those that were on the webinar, but more importantly, you need to stay contact with those that didn't.

How do we do this?

Send them to the replay with urgency!

Let them know how great it was and how the replay will only be available for a short period.

 Let them know about upcoming webinars that they may be able to attend and products that may meet their needs.

That's all there is to it!

It's all about communication and follow-up.

Webinar Bootcamp Week - Webinar ToolsThis Week is Webinar Week at MLSP, so I thought I would piggyback my posts this week starting with a post on Webinar Tools.

Webinar Bootcamp Week – Webinar Tools

Today I'm just going to be talking about the tools to doing a webinar, nothing else.

1.   Equipment

When we talk about what equipment you need to do a webinar, I'm talking about the physical equipment.

Things like camera, computer, lighting, and audio.

For my camera, I just use the one on my laptop, or I also have a Logitech C930e, which I Like.

For lighting, I just use the light in my office, nothing special.

I do have some professional lighting that I use once in awhile but most of the time I just use the overhead light in my office.

For my audio, I have two pieces that I use.

First I have a Label mic that I like but tend to use this more when I'm doing videos from my iPhone.

What I use most of the time for my webinars is my Blue Yeti USB.  It's a little spending but well worth it.  I think it runs around $125.

2.   Software

When we talk about software, two basic software packages for presentations are preferred.

The first one is Microsoft Powerpoint, which works on both the Mac and the PC.

The second is Keynote, which is a Mac only program.

Both are great and whichever preference you have is fine.

3.   Webinar Platform

Here's where the debate comes in.

There are some great platforms out there for conducting your webinars.

I'm going to list a few here, and it will all depend on your budget and preference.

These aren't in any specific order.

1.   Google Hangouts – This is a free platform, and a lot of people love using it.
2.   Zoom – This is another free platform like Google hangouts that many leaders are starting to use.
3.   GotoMeeting/GotoWebinar – This is the old tried and true platform that is a little spendy but works reliably – monthly.
4.   WebinarsOnAir – This is a great platform based on the Google Hangout technology with added bells and whistles – monthly.
5.   WebinarJam – This is also based on Google Hangout technology with the most bells and whistles – annual fee.

These are all good platforms, and each has different pros and cons.

My personal preference for the cost and all of the bells and whistles is WebinarJam.

I hope this has given you some help and insight on what you need to get started.

The cost to get a webinar going is very minimal and the return is huge.

What’s your DMO and How Consistent Are You?

What's your DMO and How Consistent Are YouThe first question I will ask someone when it comes to marketing is what is your DMO or Daily Method of Operation.  Your DMO is critical for your success.

One great course that I have taken that teaches all about your Daily Method of Operation, and much more is Ray Higdon's 3 Minute Expert.

I have talked to a lot of top earners, and they all told me the same thing.

If you don't have a DMO, then you don't know where your business is going.

The other thing that I have found is it's very hard to be consistent if you don't have a Daily Method of Operation.

What's your DMO and How Consistent Are You?

Without having a daily to-do list that keeps you focused you are going to find that anything and everything will distract you from getting the things you need to get done.

Those things that are income producing tasks not just busy work.

If you believe that you can just get up every morning and haphazardly go about your day of work for your business and magically end up successful, you are sorely mistaken.

MY DMO

My day starts with some quiet time, devotions and affirmations.

From there I get right into doing my blog post and video.

I need to start adding some form exercise at this point also.

After that, I start building new and reinforcing existing relationships on social media.

The rest of my day I spent with family mixed with returning messages online and checking emails.

Because we live in a mobile world, it makes it easy to stay connected with your team and prospects throughout the day.

It's important to spend time away from the work though so you don't get burned out.

Your mindset is critical along with being consistent with your income producing activities.

Being Consistent

Having a DMO but not being consistent is pretty useless.

Consistency is one of the most important habits you can develop in your business.

Without being consistent in your marketing, building and training your business will very quickly become stagnant.

The moral of this story is you NEED a Daily Method of Operation in your life and you NEED to be consistent in your activities on a daily basis.

This week take the time to lay out your DMO and make a commitment to be consistent!
