6 Irrefutable Keys to Being ConsistentIf you are struggling with being consistent then this is the post you definitely want to read.  Consistency will make the difference between success and great success.

People just don’t realize how important it is to be consistent with your business.

It sets you aside from the other 90% who just work their business as a hobby instead of being a Network Marketing Professional.

Understand that whether you are full-time or part-time it doesn’t matter.  You need to figure out what you need to do on a daily basis and then stay consistent at doing it.

I wish that I could claim a hold on these 6 keys to being consistent, but they have come from my mentor, upline, and friend Ray Higdon.

He is without a doubt the most consistent person that I have had the pleasure to work with.  When he tells you that you need to be consistent you can bet he has the actions to back it up.

Until I really understood what that meant, being consistent and staying consistent, my business was just mediocre and not really going anywhere.

Now I blog every day and am so consistent that I wouldn’t know what to do if I wasn’t doing my Daily Tasks!

The 6 Irrefutable Keys To Being Consistent

1.     VISION

This is not necessarily a vision of what you want or where you want your business to be, although those are important.

This is the Vision of who YOU want to become.  Who YOU want people to remember and think of you.

This is what drives you to the core of your being – WHO DO YOU WANT TO BECOME!

This may be a philanthropist, a great presenter, a great leader, a great servant…

This is much different than your WHY.  Understand that your “why” is typically external to you.

This Vision should pull you. “Pain Pushes You Until A Vison Pulls You” – Michael Beckwith.

2.     Routine

Having a DMO (Daily Method of Operation) or a Routine is critical.  If you don’t have a routine on a daily basis it’s going to be very hard to stay consistent.

Everyone has a different routine that they go through each day.  Mine starts with a couple of things that I do each morning.

•     My Devotions
•     30+ Minutes of Learning, video, audio, reading.
•     Write my blog for the day
•     Connect with Social Media for about 30 Minutes or so
•     Spend time with Wife and Grand Daughter before taking her to school
•     Then I start with calls and the rest of my day.

This is my routine generally.  There are a lot of details that happens for each of these, but I think you get the jest of having a routine.

The mistake most people make is they don’t make is they don’t set times for doing their routine.  Therefore what happens is they try to get to it when they can and it just doesn’t happen.

Set down today and put your routine to paper and assign times to everything.  I’m a morning person so my routine starts very early in the morning.  You may be a night person, doesn’t matter.

Without a routine in your life and business, it will be very hard being consistent!

3.     The Alternative

What’s the alternative, FEAR?  Understanding what’s the alternative to building your business.

Now I admit this somewhat of a fear tactic and may not motivate you long term, but it will motivate you in the short term until your Vision Pulls you forward.

Being consistent in the short term is going to be some FEAR and the other keys here.

4.     30 Day Goals

Set 3 or 4 30 Day Goals Each Month

Set 3 or 4 30 Day Goals Each Month

Most people will set annual goals that take too long to accomplish and have to be monitored religiously and tweaked constantly.

Try setting 3 or 4 goals at the beginning of every month.

You will be amazed at how this will change your business and being consistent.  When you hit your goals each month you will be amazed how you will feel

This will help you be consistent because of the positive reinforcement that you get from those accomplishments.

5.     Seinfeld Strategy

The story goes that Jerry Seinfeld gives a budding comic his biggest tip!

Here it is.  Get a calendar and every day write jokes.  Then put an “X” on each day that you write a joke.

This strategy will give you a visual of completing every day the action that you NEED to take.  If that’s writing a blog then you do that.

This is so very key to being consistent on a daily basis.

6.     Push Through

Everyone goes through a plateau in their life and their business.  Just this past weekend I reached one of those plateaus and new I had to push through.

I can tell you that “Before Every Break Through There Will Be A Break Down.”

The difference with those that are successful and stay consistent are those that can push through the resistance and all those things that tell us to stop.

So, these are the 6 keys to being consistent.  I will guarantee you that if you take these step for being consistent and implement them in your life and your business you WILL see some great changes.

One of the things that I did a few months back around the beginning of the year was to go through Ray’s course The 3 Minute Expert.

I can’t tell you how much that change my business and how I market, blog, and build my business.
