I have to tell you that this past weekend has changed who I am and how I think about Team Building and Network Marketing all together.

I was at an inspiring event this past weekend, TEAL, and during one of the sessions the speaker talked about MLM Team Building and I have to say it took on a whole new understanding for me.

You know it wasn’t that I hadn’t heard some of these things before it was just the way they were put together and the timing was right for me to hear them.

I hope you will take the time to read this and maybe, just maybe this will be the light that goes on for you.

This weekend we learn about so many things that my heads is still spinning.  When you boil it down to the basics it really comes down to a few basic things.

  • MLM Recruiting
  • MLM Lead Generation
  • MLM Team Building

If you can master getting leads, recruiting and then building and keeping a team you are golden.  If you can’t then you are going to be struggling whether you are working online or offline.

Most people in Network Marketing are all about the money.  Let’s build big so we can make more money and have that dreamed about lifestyle.

I’m not saying that making money is bad at all, but what I am saying is that if money is your motivation then you will only go so far.

7 Proven Ideas for Team Building

1.    Become a King/Queen Maker.

John Maxwell, one of the most well-known experts on leadership constantly trains on how to create more leaders in your organization.

So, we need to take our ego out of the way and start helping others to become as good or better than we are.  We need to get excited when someone on our team passes us by and becomes a King or Queen.

2.   Become a Story Maker of Other People.

storyteller_Anker_Grossvater_1884Helping others make their stories is such a great way to build your team.  Having a team full of powerful stories of rags to riches will help explode your team.

People want to know that they are not the only ones who are going or who went through tough times to make it to success.

Helping your teammates to have their stories is key to developing that huge team you are looking for.

3.   See People For Where They Could Be, Not Where They Currently Are

This seems pretty self-explanatory, but you would be surprised how many people just don’t get this one.

I can’t tell you how many times I have heard, “You saw who I could be when I couldn’t” from teammates.

You just need to get this if you are going to become a professional at team building.

4.    Don’t Allow People Who Are Negative Utilize All Your Time

Negative People

This one is crucial.  Negative people will suck the energy not only out of you but your team.

Negative people love to capitalize all your time with their negative and destructive issues and talk.

When you are out there doing your MLM Recruiting and you come across a negative person run the other way.  It’s better not to even get them on your team in the first place.

They are like some cancer eating away at you and your team.

5.    People Need To Earn Your Time And You Need To Earn Theirs

You need to be spending you time with those who have stepped up to the plate and working the business.

This doesn’t mean that you ignore the others.  You should always love on your team and help wherever you can.

You just want to spend a majority of your time with those that have earned it and are putting out the effort.

You need to earn their time also.  You need to grow into a leader that people want to work with who want to use their time.

Become the leader that YOU would want to follow to the ends of the world!

6.    “Teach To Teach, So You Can Go To The Beach”

This goes back to creating leaders, but it’s more than that.  You need to create reusable resources (videos, audios, pdfs, etc) that you and everyone on your team can point people to.

If you really want to have that beach lifestyle that gives you the freedom to do and go where you want then you have to break away from being the do all leader.

Your team needs to know that they are responsible for their training and they need to be able to pass that down to their team.

We need to have a train the trainers program and resources that can train the team with or without YOU!

7.    Create a Community

You need to create a community that people will want to be a part of.  Something that they feel is protective, nourishing, growing and fun to be a part of.

If you want to create a legacy that will be around long after you’re gone, then you need to create a community that people want to be a part of for a long time.

I know that MLM Recruiting and MLM Lead Generation are very important parts of building your organization, but I will tell you that I have known master recruiters that could build but couldn’t sustain a team because they didn’t understand these 7 powerful ideas.

You need to understand that it takes all three of these skill sets to become a giant in this profession.
