If you are building a business and trying to build your list you could be spending a lot of money and you haven’t even tried any of the tried and true FREE methods to generate leads.

You’ve probably heard the old saying the “the money is in the list,” well I can tell you that is very true.

I never really understood that and kinda thought that was something that the Big Dogs did but for us little guys just starting out we had to rough it out and just start talking to everyone we came in contact with.

I even thought that if I blasted my company links all over social media that I would be rich in a couple months, NOT!

Being able to generate Quality Leads with whatever method you choose is essential these days to building any business, whether it’s a Network Marketing Business or an old fashion Brick and Mortar Business.

Everyone NEEDS Leads which are potential customers or potential business partners in your business.

Free Leads are certainly the most inviting, especially for the person just starting out and on a small budget for advertising.

Now you combine Free Leads with Quality Leads and you start getting Daily Leads…Well, you understand… You’re In The Money.

Understanding how the flow should work is essential.  Everything you do needs to flow back to a central branding location.

In my case and what I believe that location should be is your blog!

Once you understand this then everything else will fall into place.

7 Ways to Generate Quality Leads For FREE!

1.     Blogging

I put this at the top of the list for the obvious reason.  Your Blog needs to be your hub.  I believe that you should be branding who YOU are and let everything flow from there.

The one thing that I have found over the many years is that people hook their wagon to PEOPLE, not things.

Another old saying is “Where ever you go There YOU Are!”  Companies will come and go but if you brand you then people will always find you and want to hook up with what you are doing.

I’m not going to go into the technical part of how to start a blog and what goes into it.  I will tell you that I do recommend WordPress for the platform to use.

The BEST Course out there on blogging and generating quality leads is Ray Higdon’s 3 Minute Expert.

His course takes you through everything you need to know about building a blog presence and I mean everything.

Okay, that’s enough about your blog…. if you don’t have one and you want to be successful online then you NEED to get one up and running NOW!

2.    Facebook

FB-spamFacebook is one of the Social Media communities that is very much abused in my opinion.  The good news is that it is open to people and their opinions.

The bad news is that it is open to people and their opinions.

As a business owner wanting to get quality leads you need to be building relationships with your new acquaintances on Facebook.

The last thing you want to do is be spamming links, getting into political debates or just being obnoxious about anything.

There certainly is a time and place to speak up about things, but that should be a very very small part of what you are putting out!

Whatever you post should be adding value to the community and to others.  Most of the links that you post should point back to who you are, Your Blog.

Building relationships is critical on the Social Media sites… you always want to be adding value and with that comes people who will search you out making them Quality Leads!

3.    Google+

Google+ is still underutilized for marketing and still being used to spam links.  Everything that I said under the facebook section applies here.

You are still developing relationships and adding value.

If you don’t have a Google+ site then that is something you NEED to do and beginning posting and adding value to that community.

4.    Instagram

Instagram is kinda the new kid on the block when it comes to marketing.  Most people think of it as a place to post images of the family, vacations, pets and anything else they think of.

I know what you are thinking… what can I post on Instagram when you don’t have the ability to put active links on it.

I felt that same way, but here’s what I can tell you.  Since I’ve been posting images with some great text and the link my followers have tripled.

5.    Twitter

Twitter is another social media platform that is constantly misused.  I don’t have much to say about this except to reiterate the above comments for posting.

Always, always, always add value when you are posting.

6.    LinkedIn

LinkedIn is where you are going to find some of you most successful and high-end leads.

Again if you are spammy and just posting to post and not adding any value then you are not only going to lose your credibility but your ability to get any leads at all.

I have been picking specific Network Marketing and Internet Marketing groups to post to and I always post things that will help and give value to that group of professionals.

7.    Pinterest

Last but not least is Pinterest.  Again I can’t stress enough to not spam your links all over the place.

Take the time to put up interesting images and text that will entice the pinners back to your blog.

Pinterest does allow active links so it works great to push people back to your blog where they will find out all about you and what you stand for.

Bonus – Word Of Mouth

word-of-mouthThis is one place that people total miss the mark on.  Getting leads from people you meet on a daily basis.

I use Aweber for my autoresponder and they have a mobile called “Atom” that is just incredible.

It allows you to add people right from your mobile device while you are on the run.  How cool to be talking to someone and say “why don’t I add you to my list right now while we are chatting.”

So don’t forget about the free leads that you encountered in your everyday life.
