Are You A Victim Or Are You A Creator?

Are You A Victim Or Are You A Creator?

Today we are going to chat about some Personal Development and help you answer the question, Are You A Victim or Are You A Creator.

Understand, that I'm not talking about true victims.

Especially, those people who have been victims of violent crime or suffer from PTSD and things of that nature.

What I am talking about are those people who make themselves Victims and have the choice to change.

Are You A Victim Or Are You A Creator

So, what I want to do with you today is basically define for you the attributes of the Victim so you can see what not to be.

Here are some of the attributes of a Victim mentality:

  • Victim blames others or other things… determined by outside circumstances
  • Always blame,
  • Criticize what they failed at,
  • Justify their decisions with finger pointing,
  • always need reinforcement from others,
  • They act like they are a protector of others
  • Victims use words like concern to disguise fear
  • They get along very well with struggling people
  • A lot likes from other victims
  • A victims life seldom changes and when it does it doesn’t last for long
  • Wishy-washy emotions
  • A lack of Certainty
  • Enormous focus on the negative
  • Hidden anger towards the success of others

Are You A Victim Or Are You A Creator

So, what makes a Creator?

Basically, a Creator is exactly the opposite of the Victim.

The Creator is that person who takes what is thrown at them and creates amazing things.

A Creator doesn't blame outside circumstances and people but thanks them for pushing them in the right direction.

A Creator is just that, A CREATOR!

One Of Solomon’s Secrets To Success – Diligence

One Of Solomon's Secrets To Success - DiligenceI'm in the process of reading one of the best books I've read in awhile – “The Richest Man Who Ever Lived: King Solomon's Secrets to Success, Wealth, and Happiness” by Steven Scott.

This book is fantastic and so full of truths for our lives that it is worth reading multiple times.

You can find the book here, and I highly recommend it!

One Of Solomon's Secrets To Success – Diligence

In his book Steven defines Diligence as the following:

DILIGENCE is a learnable skill that combines: creative persistence, a smart-working effort rightly planned and rightly performed in a timely, efficient, and effective manner to attain a result that is pure and of the highest quality of excellence.

He continually illustrates how being diligent isn't about being smarter or more talented it's all about working smarter, harder, and being persistent.

I love the example he gives comparing Diligence and hope, to our nuclear ships.

He lays out that the nuclear ship has a nuclear power plant and fuel.

Solomon has laid out a similar relationship with diligence and hope.

Diligence is the power plant, and Hope is the fuel that keeps it running.

He goes on to talk about how Solomon has given us clear results from being Diligent and precise results from not being Diligent.

Secrets To Success – Steps To Bring Diligence Into Your Business

Understand, that I am just hitting on the highlights of this excellent book and you should take the time to get the book and read it many times.

The 4 Steps:

1.   Wake Up To Reality

“How long will you lie there,” he asks. “When will you get up from your sleep? poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.” —Proverbs 6: 9– 11

Solomon is talking about Procrastinating!

We all do it, and most people struggle with this.

I can say that this was one of my struggles early on in life.

We all need to take responsibility for our life, our attitudes, our values, and how we spend our time.

The clock is ticking and time stops for no one.

We all need to heed Solomon's words here; WAKE UP and STOP PROCRASTING!

2.   Define Your Visions

Solomon wrote in Proverbs 28:19 – “Without a Vision, the People Perish.”

Without a Vision, we lose our direction, our motivation, our joy, our passion and much more.

The good news is that the converse of this verse brings all of those things into our lives and our business.

My mentor and friend, Ray Higdon, has always taught the importance of having a strong Vision.

He quotes Michael Beckwith – “The pain pushes until the vision pulls.” – Michael Bernard Beckwith

Defining a vision in your life and business is an essential part of Diligence.

In fact, Solomon believed that it was impossible to be truly diligent if you don't have a clear vision!

In Proverbs 6:6, Solomon those who lack Diligence in their lives to look closely at the ant.

Here is how Steven puts it precisely:

The ant “has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.” In other words, the ant is so mission oriented that even without supervision or direction, it does exactly what it needs to do for its benefit and the benefit of the entire colony.

When you have a clear in your life and business, you will take the initiative and gain the diligence to accomplish it just like the ant.

3.   Effectively Partner

“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers, they succeed.” – Proverbs 15:22

If you take a look at history, you will find that no one has ever achieved a significant project without effectively partnering and seeking outside counsel.

All of the top leaders and earners in our profession will tell you they had coaches and partners or they wouldn't be where they are today.

Having a partner or coach is essential to making the huge successes in your life and business.

4.   Pursue Wisdom; Build Your Life Upon It

“How much better it is to get wisdom than gold!  And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver.” – Proverbs 16:16.

The final component to becoming a diligent person in your business and life is to pursue wisdom and build your life upon its foundation.

True wisdom is something you have to search for and seek out.

It very rarely is laying there staring you in the face.

You must take the time and effort to dig for it like buried treasure.

The rewards of gaining true wisdom are literally beyond your imagination.

Steven ends this section with a Diligence Checklist that I would like to share.

Remember all of the credit here goes to Steven Scott and of Course God and Solomon!

DILIGENCE CHECKLIST DO YOU:

___ 1. Have a clear and precise vision for what you want to achieve?
___ 2. Creatively persist through disappointments and failures?
___ 3. Work smart?
___ 4. “Rightly” plan?
___ 5. “Rightly” perform?
___ 6. Work expeditiously (with target dates)?
___ 7. Work efficiently?
___ 8. Work effectively (achieving effective results)?
___ 9. Produce a result that reflects a quality outcome?
___ 10. Attain true excellence?

Again I can't stress enough that you NEED to get this book and inhale it.

One Of Solomon's Secrets To Success – Diligence Summary

Having Diligence in your life and your business will take you to success that you never dreamed of.

One of the things that Steven shares in his book is his “Vision Map Journal” which I'm not going to share here you will just have to get the book.

Are You Building Relationships or Building Walls?

Are you building relationships or wallsThis is a question that all Network Marketers should be asking themselves daily, am I Building Relationships or am I Building WALLS?

If you are not asking yourself this question regularly, then you are probably building more walls than you know.

It's easy to get carried away with our passion and cross that line between relationship and wall.

Are You Building Relationships or Building Walls?

I was taught the infamous “3-foot rule” when I first started in Network Marketing many years ago.

This rule stated that whenever you came within 3 feet of a person, you pounced on them with your product and opportunity.

That's all we knew.

In walks Attraction Marketing.

Funny story though, when I was introduced to Attraction Marketing it was by one of my downline who I immediately shot down because it wasn't what we were taught.

Boy, was I wrong!

Are You Building Relationships?

What is Attraction Marketing?

Attraction Marketing is all about BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS that's it.

I was so entrenched in the old ways of pitching and spamming that I couldn't see the forest through the trees.

So, when I finally decided to embrace this relationship thing I knew it was time to learn a new marketing strategy.

I was introduced to a system that is synonymous with Attraction Marketing, MLSP and that changed everything.

The education, training, support, community and tools MLSP has to offer is like going to Harvard.

Building Relationships Is All About Listening

The first thing I learned was to listen to my target market and understand their pain points.

Knowing that people do business with those “They Know, Like and Trust” became crucial for my marketing.

I finally understood how posting my links everywhere and spamming my opportunity all over Social Media was creating WALLS not RELATIONSHIPS.

Things had to change.

So, what is the answer to the question for you?

Are you building relationships or building walls?

Is your business growing or is it stagnant and people are running from you?

Are you the hunter or are you being HUNTED?

These questions are things you need to answer if you are going to move your business forward this year.

Are You Building Relationships or Building Walls? – Summary

In conclusion, Relationships over Walls win every time.

So, the next time you are thinking about spamming your company link all over Social Media JUST DON'T DO IT!

Remember, people want to know and like you before they get in business with you.

People join People not companies!

Are You Guilty Of Perfection Syndrome?

Are You Guilty Of Perfection Syndrome? Are You Guilty Of Perfection Syndrome and is it keeping you from success? If you answer yes to this question, then you need to read and share this post.

Please don't misunderstand me here; there is nothing wrong with trying to do your best and become an expert in what you do.

I found myself over the years having the paralysis of analysis disease and not moving forward.

Are You Guilty Of Perfection Syndrome?

I love this quote from Zig Ziglar – “You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”

[bctt tweet=”You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great – Zig Ziglar #zigziglar” username=””]

Have you ever noticed that people who are perfectionist are usually people you don't want to be around?

Also over the years, I have found that perfection is a goal never attained.

I heard someone say the other day if the first video you did was fantastic you waited too long to start.

I totally agree with that.

Are You Guilty Of Perfection Syndrome? – Quotes

“Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.” –  Vince Lombardi

“Have no fear of perfection – you'll never reach it.” – Salvador Dali

“The essence of being human is that one does not seek perfection.” – George Orwell

“I've seen the majestic beauty of nature and the overwhelming perfection of it. To me, there's nothing closer to God than that.” – Cote de Pablo

Progress is perfection. Instead of beating yourself up for not reaching all of your goals, try focusing on the progress you are making. If you are moving forward… if you are growing… if you are getting better… if you are being more consistent… if you are having a better attitude… if you are learning… then you are winning. A person who continues to get better is a person that cannot be stopped. – Eric Worre

Are You Guilty Of Perfection Syndrome? – Summary

In Summary, shooting for perfection isn't bad unless you use that as an excuse for doing NOTHING!

“Shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars.” – Les Brown

Nothing wrong to strive for your best in all that you do, but understand that it's a process that you are always working on.

It's the journey you are on that's important not achieving perfection.

Being A Powerful Leader Equals Being A Powerful Servant

Being A Powerful Leader Equal Being A Powerful ServantBeing a Powerful Leader equals Being a Powerful Servant comes from a short video by Tony Robbins that is quite the inspiration.

If you haven't watched, read, or listened to any of Tony Robbins seminars that today should be your day to start.

There are two people that I have followed over the years when it comes to leadership: John Maxwell and Tony Robbins.

Being A Powerful Leader Equals Being A Powerful Servant

I guess that says it all.

So, if you want to be a great leader, then you need to learn how to be a great servant to your team.

Many people believe that a great leader has lots of followers and that's partially correct.

More important than having a lot of followers though, is the ability to great other great leaders on your team.

I'm going to keep this short today because I believe Tony has said all that needs to be said.

Becoming a Powerful Servant in all aspects of our lives is very important.
