MLM Advice: Upline and Downline WoesToday I want to give out a little MLM Advice to those who may be struggling with either their Upline or Downline.  You may be surprised at my advice.

How many of you have or are in a situation where your upline is just not very helpful or supportive or your downline is just not performing?

So what do you do if your upline lacks integrity or is totally uninterested in supporting their team?

What do you do if your downline is doing nothing and is just unmotivated to build their team?

Let’s start with our upline woes.  I want to say first that I have been blessed with an amazing upline couple

I want to say first that I have been blessed with an amazing upline couple Ray and Jessica Higdon.

That said, not everyone has had this pleasure and a lot of people who get into Network Marketing end up with maybe a friend or someone they nothing about.

Here’s my MLM Advice for you on this matter, “If It’s To Be, Then It’s Up To ME!

I will tell you that I have been in a number of MLM businesses where the most informed, the presenter, the trainer and the one that the team came to for support wasn’t my upline, it was me.

I learned a long time ago that the leader on your team starts with YOU!

Two things I can give you here that might help.

  1. If you really need help and to find a good leader try going higher upline until you find one.
  2. You become the leader and learn all you can and become your team looks up to.

Here was the one thing that always gave me the woes where this was concerned.  I was the one training my upline and training his team that I had absolutely no financial interest in.

As long as I was thinking that way it was hurting my business and my relationships with the team.  It was about my mindset and how I handled what I thought was a poor me situation.

No more!

Now on to the downline woes.

This is an easy one and I will tell that I have been very guilty of this in the past.  Wondering what is wrong with my team, why aren’t they doing anything.

It wasn’t until I took a long hard look in the mirror that I realized that I need to be leading from the front on all aspects of the business.

Not just be a good trainer or counselor to the team I had to be the best recruiter, the prospector, on the leader boards and more.

If I want my team to perform I had to show them what that performance should look like!

Best MLM Advice I every got was this. “If You Can’t Change Your Team, Change Your Team.”

All this really means is that If I’m leading from the front in most if not all aspects of my business then I will always have new blood coming in and be showing the example of how to keep a team fresh and vibrant.

You would be surprised how new blood spurs on the old timers to start doing something, or they just leave.
