Pixel Retargeting. What It Is and How To Use Them
There are so many great benefits to using pixel retargeting that not using them is just silly. Even if you aren’t doing any paid marketing at this point developing that targeted audience you will be ready when the time comes.
In this post, I want to take some time to explain what pixel retargeting is, how to use it and how to set it up.

Pixel Retargeting, What Is It?
Basically, you create the code in facebook and then you copy and paste that code in your blog, capture page, offer or any other website/page.
What this does is to allow you to follow this audience around and kind of be in their face.
Have you ever noticed that when you are on facebook and then go to a site and look at something, whether it is a product or just information, it then shows up on the side of your facebook feed.
That’s Pixel Retargeting!
How To Use Pixel Retargeting
Here are the steps to using the facebook retargeting pixels.
- Create a Custom Audience in Facebook Ads based on a website or page.
- Get the pixel code after the audience has been created
- Paste it into the website you have created the audience to track, e.g. blog, capture page, etc.
That’s all there is to it.
Once you have created your custom audience you can now start driving ads to that audience which is much more targeted than just hoping you are hitting the right audience.
One caveat is I’m only talking about Facebook retargeting in this post, but there are many different platforms like google and big ad companies that are using pixel retargeting.
