Understanding Social Media Etiquette When MarketingWhen it comes to Social Media Etiquette for marketing your business, there are some do’s and do not that you need to avoid.

I learned what I am about to teach you from my Social Media Mentor Jessica Higdon and here 10k Social Media Recruiting course.

If you are wondering why you are having a hard time marketing, recruiting and prospecting on Facebook and the other social media platforms it’s  because you don’t understand Social Media Etiquette.

If you are like most of us when we first got started using social media marketing, you were clueless and just hoped for the best.

We thought that throwing our links out there like spaghetti against the wall and seeing which one would stick was the way to go.

Understanding Social Media Etiquette When Marketing

I believe there are three main things to understand about social media etiquette.

1.    Be Social

Social Media is all about being social and not pitching people always about your business and product.

It’s just bad etiquette to throw your business in the face of your social media friends.

The funny things are that we wouldn’t do this in our offline real world, would we?

But we get on Facebook and the other Social Media Platforms, and we think that we have to start spamming.

You just need to be SOCIAL!

2.    Add Value

Adding Value is the one thing that most marketers fail to do.

Increase the value to their social contacts.

You want to work to become the person that is always putting out valuable content along with being social.

You want to be known as the go-to guy or gal.

When people think about your niche, you want them to think about you and all the value you give.

3.    Don’t Spam, Tag or Be Combative

These are the things that will get most people blocked or just ignored.

Who wants to hear about someone’s business or product day in and day out.

You should never tag other people in your posts that have nothing to do with the content of the post.

It’s okay to be edgy once in awhile to let people know that you are human and have opinions.

You just don’t want to be the person that is always posting controversial posts.

The more Positive and upbeat you can be the better.

Remember people want to do business with those they know, love and trust.

4.   Bonus Don’ts!!!

Here are a few more things that you just don’t want to be doing.

Post to other people’s timeline is a big no-no in my book.

Unless it’s someone that you are good friends with or family and is relevant to what they are about you just shouldn’t do it.

Tagging people all the time in your posts just to get them to look at it.

Especially if it’s a pitching or spammy post!

Just being rude and negative all the time and commenting in that manner on other people’s post.

Nobody likes it on or offline so just don’t do it!

Okay, so I hope this has helped you, but if you want to learn from the expert then you need to get 10K Social Media Recruiting.
