Update On My Blogging Journey And How It Can Help You!
I thought today I would share how my blogging journey was going since I started in January of this year.
When I started back in January I had determined to put out content consistently 5 – 7 times a week and so far I have been able to do just that.
I had been so called blogging before this, maybe once a week if I was lucky. It was whenever the feeling hit me.
My Alexa.com rating when I started in January was over 27 million in the world and non-existent in the US.
Today I’m under 500,000 in the world and under 100,000 in the US.
Here Are Some Things I’ve Learned Along The Way With Blogging
If you are getting ready to start your journey down this path and think you can just periodically post an article, then you might as well save yourself the time and effort.
If you are not going to be consistent and commit to posting 5 to 7 times a week then your results will certainly lackluster.
I’m coming from a place of experience and I will tell you doing it that way got me NO Tracktion whatsoever!
I was going to be an unknown forever and that’s just not what I wanted.
You Have To Be CONSISTENT and You Have To Post Daily!
If you think this is too much work or that you have a better way then be aware you will probably fail.
2. Valuable Content
This was one of the things that kept me from posting as much in the past. I just didn’t know where to get my content from.
My mindset was stuck on how am I going to write this much and about what. I was stuck in my own head and it wasn’t very pleasant.
Now after over 300 posts later I can tell you if I hadn’t gone through Ray’s ILT Course and his 3-Minute Expert course I would still be scratching my head trying to figure out what to write about.
In his ILT course, Ray teaches you how to use the method of “Invest, Learn, Teach” effectively.
If you want the details I would encourage you to get his 3-Minute Expert course which teaches the ILT method in detail.
Here’s what I can tell you, if I hadn’t Invested the time and money into these courses I would still be spinning my wheels!
3. Some Way To Capture Leads
You have to ask yourself the question, why am I doing this blogging thing anyway?
The reason I blog every day is two-fold. One I want to put out value to our profession of Network Marketing.
Secondly, I want to build my list!
The first one is taken care of in number 2 above. The second one is the one that most people totally lose site of.
You need a FREE giveaway of something of great value that will entice your visitors to give you their name and email for something of value in return.
You can see here at the right an example of a free giveaway.
You are giving the visitor something for free or great value for just giving you their information.
I will tell you if you don’t have this you are losing a ton of people that could be on your list. You remember the old saying “The Money Is In The List.” Well, it’s TRUE!
The sad news is that a good portion of people that come to your site will never return and if you don’t have a way to capture their information you will have lost them forever!
Well, I hope this has given you some insight into my blogging journey and how it can help you.
I have found this to be addicting at this point. It has become my daily mode of operation and a habit that I couldn’t stop if I wanted to.
Once you commit to blogging and making a difference you will be surprised how things change.
