Webinar Marketing Part 4 – Explode Your Attendance
Follow these three tips to take your attendance rates to new heights!
1. Create Scarcity and Urgency
You need to set a max limit for your webinar and make sure everyone knows what that limit is.
This will create a sense of scarcity and urgency at the same time.
People will want to get on early so they don’t lose a seat.
Follow up with emails to those who registered letting them know the limits and that there’s a real possibility of being locked out.
2. Give Away A Bonus Gift For Attending
People just love bonuses.
On your registration confirmation page, you can remind them WHY they need to be there and that there will be a bonus gift when they attend.
It will amaze you how much this somewhat small thing will increase your attendance rates.
Steve Jaffe often gets 60%+ attendance to his webinars, which is nothing short of amazing.
3. KEEP Promoting Right Up To The Webinar
People have very short attention spans online. With so much stuff vying for attention by other marketers, it’s easy to forget about your webinar (even though it’s scheduled.)
The key is to simply remind them so they can’t forget, and remind them WHY they need to be there. (Benefits for them!)
Steve Jaffe starts reminding registrants 3 days before by email and social media (but no more because attendance drops if you start too far ahead of time.) He then goes heavy on the last day reminding registrants (and those who haven’t registered yet) up to 5 times on the day of the webinar…

NOTE: This is a very aggressive approach to promoting a webinar. Your audience may be different. Use this as a baseline and gauge your audience reaction – track your attendance rate and see if more or fewer emails are necessary to max your attendance.
